Well known in Los Angeles as perhaps the most innovative DJ - his mixes include a dozen styles of dance ranging from House, to Progressive, Hip Hop, Disco, Funk, R&B, Electro and many more. In his four to six hour mixes you may hear a classic disco track mixed alongside a trance or progressive song (even hip hop or electro). This unique style has allowed Crash to continue his tenure at his current residencies, including the Playboy Mansion and Club Vegas.
Born in Los Angeles, CA in 1969, Crash's passion and natural talents propelled him into the musical realm at a very young age. By the time he was ten, Crash’s collection of records, tapes, 4 tracks and 8 tracks ranged from the Beatles and Visage, to Bach and Pete Fontaine. There was nothing he couldn't play or mix.
During the mid eighties he formed Rhythm Crew DJ's, a well respected mobile company, catering to private and corporate events. Crash spun at several events every weekend; meanwhile studying for, and obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
In the early 1990’s, he began mixing at local clubs in Los Angeles such as Fantasia and Red Onion. His mixing was so clean that crowds would gather around just to watch him spin (on CD format). Always ahead of his time, Crash took out copyrights on DVD concepts that still to this day, have not yet caught up to technology, or his dream.
By the mid 1990's Crash picked up resident nights at Los Angeles' largest and most prestigious clubs including: Billboard Live, The Roxbury, and Hollywood Athletic Club (HAC). For two years Crash took residency at HAC sharing the newest and freshest House, and Trance to two thousand dancers. Crash was selected to the Billboard Dance Chart panel, where he contributed articles and interviews to DJ Times, DMA Magazine, DJ, Muzik, Mixer, Urb, Lotus magazines. He has spun for everyone from Playboy's Hugh Hefner, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Howard Stern, Diana Ross, Herbie Hancock, Mick Jagger, Beyonce Knowles, Snoop Dogg, and many more.
This is only the beginning of the journey. Currently, he is working with studio partner Claudio Collino (Crash/Collino Publishing Inc) and has recently remixed the Godfather of Soul himself - James Brown's "Rapp Payback," Screaming Rachel "Dont make me Lonely," two singles released in the summer of 2003. Six more were released, along with an album in the fall of 2003.
Epitomizing talent and professionalism, he has undoubtedly won the respect and admiration of his peers and of those in the entertainment industry.
